Essential Crystals for Your Spiritual Journey

If there is one item in the Spiritual Badass toolbox that is under rated again and again, it has to be the crystal. Crystals can enhance every part of your spiritual journey. They can balance out your energy fields, assist in manifesting your wildest dreams, and be an integral part of your meditation practice.

So what is a crystal?

The scientific definition of a crystal is matter whose molecules form a highly structured pattern (or lattice) that extend in three dimensions. Ok... that's kind of boring. In the metaphysical world, crystals are beautiful stones that each possess its own energy and benefits. They can support your meditation practice, balance your energy or the energy surrounding you, and aide in manifesting your wildest dreams.

How do I know which crystals to choose?

If you have already taken the dive into the world of crystals then you know there are a plethora to choose from. Some of them you may have heard of - quartz, ruby, jade, or mother of pearl, and others you may not be familiar with - aventurine, labradorite, or fuchsite.

My first recommendation for you is to choose the crystals you are drawn to. A lot of crystals have the same effects so even knowing what you want to accomplish when using the crystal can lead you down a rabbit hole. In metaphysics, things that we are drawn to or how our bodies respond play a big role in any decisions we make. Your body knows what it needs, trust it.

Rose Quartz ~ attract love and partnership

This is one of my go-to crystals. There is something about the gorgeous, deep pink hue that has always drawn my eye. I carry it in my pocket and can just feel the pull and energy. It is one I gravitate to frequently when pulling my crystals out of their pouch.

Lapis Lazuli ~ truth & wisdom

This is a sultry blue with streaks of gold that harnesses some incredible power of connection with your third eye. Truth and wisdom flow along the energy of this crystal. If you are looking for answers and insight, reach for this stone first.

Hematite ~ grounding & balance

The various colors and textures of this stone make it a fun one to stare at and the calming energy makes it a great one to carry around every day. Turn to this stone when you feel in the midst of chaos and need something to help ground you and balance your energy.

Jade ~ good luck & prosperity

This is a stone that is used all over the Orient. The deeply ingrained understanding of the energy this crystal brings with it is undeniable. Who doesn't need a little good luck and prosperity in their life?

Black Tourmaline ~ protection & calming

This was the first crystal I purchased. This is perfect when you need a calming energy. It helps repel the negative vibes of energy vampires. This is a great stone to provide protection against this sometimes not so awesome world.

Citrine ~ happiness & abundance

After you ward away those energy vampires, reach for the uplifting energy of citrine. This beautiful orange/yellow crystal is chock-full of energy to harness happiness and abundance. Make this your go-to manifesting crystal.

Quartz ~ energy & focus

This is such a versatile crystal it can be used every day and is so stunning to look at that it can be displayed anywhere that you want to be productive. There are so many uses for this crystal, it is no wonder this crystal is so popular across the metaphysical world.

Amethyst ~ intuition & stress relief

This has always been my favorite crystal. The purple color is mesmerizing and its powers are STRONG. It is known to enhance intuition which makes it an amazing companion for meditation. It also holds the much-needed superpower of stress relief.
